What's your warentee on the bike? 1 year?
If so, I'd just do all the stuff …myself and keep all the dated recipts.
That's what saqcQ and I did @ my place.
Looked over the bolts, oil change and we're in business.
Did the same w the v star new but I actually purchased the filter and oil from the dealer so they had a record of my purchase.
In the case of the C14, if I were to buy it new and it has a stock 36 month warentee plus a very affordable additional 3 year for $350, I'd go ahead and do it @ the dealer- that's a long warentee and assuming that I won't sell the bike ( since I have a short life on bikes in my garage) I want to make sure everything Is up to spec and documentation......
As a side note- wife tried to send me back to my parents house as she explained to them that I was broke- when I talked, nothing but blabber came out and I wouldn't listen or pay attention....parents told her it was tough luck since it was a buy @ your own risk situation....
