you guys got great eyes!
Yeah, the Sexy Thruxy's been on the market for a few weeks. Lotta of interest also- im very impressed. I think if it wasnt 30 degrees and maybe $200-300 cheaper, she'd be gone by now. I also put up my Arai helmet for sale too- I didnt put it on CL, but put on some Triumph and motorcycle forums. I dont want to let that bike go also since i've only used it really 1 time. Life happens and I'm simply trying to hang in there. The Mrs. has some medical issues and this has been a very expensive Winter for us. On the brightside, Im impressed w/ the waiting rooms of our local Western Suburban ERs.. ![]() I don't want to sell the bike, but if she goes for the asking price, I'll pull the trigger. I've been looking at other things to sell right now too- Anyone interested in a limited edition 100th aniversary Bulova Harley Davidson Pocket watch #233 out of 2003? Actually, I wont let that puppy go. Its odd how much HD stuff I have...I Digress... On a crap note, everytime we try to show our house, stuff happens. This weekend was a great example. Its no one's fault, just bad timing. 4 couples wanted to see our house on Sat/Sun- Couldnt do it since the Mrs. was coming back from a friendly trip to Rush Copely and wasn't in a position to be out of our house. Thats 4 Couples!!!! So yeah, for now- she's on CL. I dont want her to sell and I think i'll get more bites after everyone has bike fever after the IMS show. Someone actually came over 2 weeks ago before i went to LA and really wanted to pull the trgger, just for a tad less $$. I think he could see me swelling up and getting emotionally upset. He was an old timer and I know he would take care of the bike. We didn't come to a price agreement, but in all honesty, we weren't that far off. If she does move, then i'll either go bikeless for a little bit or maybe buy some clunkner- maybe try and get some excitement in my life and get some late 80's early 90's cheapy bike ( do i even consider one of those sportbikes if the price is right??). My 1st bike in Chicago was only $750...so deals are out there to be had! So I dont really know what outcome is the best in all honesty. Selling the bike will help us out a little, but I know I'll be pretty sad. I'll keep you guys posted. I'd rather sell my Jeep Grand Cherokee, but i think my thrux will bring in more money- hahaha

Aw man SD... Sorry to hear about the hardships.
Props to you for realizing what is TRULY important though. The Trhuxy's sexy and fun, sure, but Family is much more important than anything material. ![]()

Never a good one for motivational speeches...but everything has a way of working out in the end. I'm sorry to hear the Mrs. problems continue and we wish her the best. You always have the support of us here on this forum.
Also, If I've still got the Lil V around when/if you sell the Thruxy I'll always give a good deal to a fellow CLC member. |

thanks for the support guys!
I appreciate it! Im looking at pickin up another job. Might have a chance to do some teaching @ a few of the colleges locally in the Western Burbs in the evening/night so we'll see how things work out- Just gotta try and hang in there for a few more months and i hope things will improve. Gotta keep dreamin' though- Nice shiney bikes, bikes w/ lotta of power, bikes that are comfy, bikes w/ technology, bikes that are simple....dreamin' helps me get through another day! ![]()
