Not necessarily... although, I just checked, & the M109R had a 3-wire stock and they were running/turn signals, not two like I originally thought...

However, if you were grounding through the housing of the stock turn signal, you could have 2 wires from the bike and still have a running/turn combination. Electrically, it could work.

For example, I had a set of Kury Mini bullets that I was going to put on the 109, but never did... they only had one wire and grounded through the housing (for turn signal only).

Not saying that it IS that way, but it's possible...

so is a bad flasher and/or fuse as well...

My experience with LED's has been the opposite. There is not enough resistance there to activate the flashers. It's "fooling" the flasher into thinking one of the bulbs is out. I've used electronic flashers in place of the resistors before and they've worked.

Here's an article that explains what I'm talking about a lot better than I can explain it:

That actually makes perfect sense to me, just never thought about it that way. Guess it depends on how the circuitry was designed for the bike...

Thanks for the read!

Yeah, I've actually seen the rapid flasher on cars more often and the non-blinking lights on bikes, So who knows
