Brown County, IN. Weekend Ride - Chicagoland Cruisers

Okay, since folks have been warm to the idea of rides I want to know your opinion of this idea.

I was talking to a friend of mine last night who lives around the Brown County, IN area. We were talking about riding and I asked if he would be willing to be a tour guide if I were to set up a ride around there. He happens to know a Hotel/Motel Manager in the area so he may be able to set up a good rate for lodging for a night or two. He also happens to know the owner of a large storage facility across the street from the lodge where we can store our bikes overnight in a secure place. Chances are he will probably have a small group of bikes locally there to join us, kinda like the Holy Hill ride.

Questions for you all:

1. Is there any CLC interest in doing a ride to Brown County, IN?

Chances are b/c of the distance we would probably be spending at least an overnighter. Maybe ride over early Saturday morning, ride all day Saturday, stay overnight, and ride back Sunday afternoon.

2. If so, who/how many would be interested?

12. ?

3. Of the folks interested, any particular weekend NOT doable?

greekxj - Aug 7-9
TTMax - July 17th - 27th

4. Open to any suggestions...we can also chat more about it at our local bike meet tonight if any of you are planning on showing up...

I'd be very very interested. The farthest south I've gone on the bike is Lafayette. I'm still debatable as for a date as the Lil V might be sold and HD isn't due back till August.

Well Oct. 17th is the wedding, so I'd have to be August or September for me

On Saturday 7/18 I have to work, and then every 2 weeks after that...

Hey guys, i might be down for this one. My weekend out would be the aug 7-9th weekend for Lollapalooza. I am only doing Saturday(8th) to see my favorite band Tool but that obviously messes up a weekend trip. Me and a few others are also planning a great river road ride on a weekend in august somtime, other than the 7-9th weekend. For sure i wouldnt go on the 7-9th of August though.
