Memorial Ride - Chicagoland Cruisers

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I would like to invite everyone on a fundraiser ride/picnic for colon cancer research and education on AUgust 22, 2009. We are leaving from Lake in the HIlls and riding to Starved Rock state park. I am working with the American Cancer Society in orcganizing this and am doing so because my father, at the age of 64, lost his battle with colon cancer. This is a cancer that is 99% curable if caught early enough. This is a cancer that I am just finding out is also caused by smoking, something many people do not know. I hope you will find this a worthy cause and come out for it. I cannot think of a better way to remember my father, an avid motorcyclist, than to have as many riders as possible riding to a place he really enjoyed. I have attached the flyer and sign up sheet. If anyone has ideas as to how to make this ride successful I would greatly appreciate hearing them. Thank you

Please join us at our Cheeseburger in Paradise meets on Mondays in Lombard or during one of our weekly Thursday meets throughout Metro Chicago.

Is there possibly anything closer than Lombard, I live in Lake in the Hills and by the time I get off work and home I would not make it out there until after 8. Thank you very much

If it makes you feel any better, I'm out in naperville and I usually get to CiP by 8 also..hehehehe
Go to the home page and on the middle left side of the screen , there's a calendar- check the cooresponding Thursdays for our official meet up days and every week we have a new location. Keep an eye out for a site near you

Is it Lombard or Downers Grove? I tried to get directions and nothing shows up in Lombard. Also, is it every Monday? I thought I saw something about the CIP in Algonquin (which would be great as that is five minutes from me). Thanks, Michelle

Hey everyone, just would like to extend the invitation to ride from Lake in the Hills to Starved Rock on Saturday August 22, 2009. Weather forecast calls for no rain and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Picnic and games at the park. Also a chance to win a Harley Davidson day rental, gift certificate from Bob-Jo's Cycle and various restaurant gift cards. Meeting at 8 and rolling at 9. Hope to see you all there.

Sorry, I had posted all of that earlier but We are meeting at the Lake in the Hills Dominicks parking lot Northeast corner of Randall Road and Algonquin Road, the route will be Randall Road to Binnie Road to Galligan. We will take Galligan to Route 72 and follow that to 47, 47 down to Route 71 and then that to Route 6 which will lead us to the park. There is supposed to be a dj at the park but I have never received confirmation of that so I can't be certain. I do know that we will be grilling burgers and dogs, there will be homemade potato salad, my mother had gone on a baking frenzy so you will get the best homemade fudge you have ever had, and of course chips and drinks.
