Custom parts shops....

So I purchase an adjustable kickstand that is supposedly made from a solid chunk of billet aluminum this and that. I get it this afternoon and it was very roughly cut. Sharp edges, burrs, not very pretty at all. It is very well designed and engineered, but for the price I paid you'd think they take a little more time finishing it off. I thought about sending it back, but gosh darnit Sookie cannot wait longer than needed....

So out to the garage I go to break out my tools. 2.5 hours later, all the sharp uneven edges are gone, and the thing is polished to an unbelievable finish!
Where are folks pride in workmanship these days?!?!

well my parts came from a custom shop in CLover, SC and it looked way shittier than some of the stuff I got overseas.
I'm an American first and foremost but we "Americans" have got to ante up our quality if we wanna compete with the world and stop whining about how everything is farmed out overseas...
