It's kinda hard for me to tell how it's shifting, honestly... That sounds like a weird thing to say, but I got so used to "how to shift" (read: "shift it like you mean it...") the M109 that I don't have a good frame of reference. It's like comparing a Ferrari (BK) to a Mack truck (109). So far, I've had very little issue with shifting. Sometimes the BK doesn't like to go Neutral-2nd while rolling - But I can't say I do that very much anyway. (The 109 wouldn't do that at all...) I think the shifting has gotten a little better with a few miles on it, but I don't know that it really is shifting better, or if I'm just getting more accustomed to it and just kind of learning what the bike does and doesn't like to do. I think it may be more of the latter.

Ok, here's the update.
I got my bike back from the dealer, and all looks well. They took a bit longer than they said they would, but cut me a deal on the $ without me even bitching about it, so I'll give them credit in that regard. I looked over the bike pretty closely, and near as I can tell, there was no damage done. However - I was pretty unimpressed that they did a pretty half-assed job of cleaning up the bike when they were done. Oh well. As far as the TSB - this is the good one. If you run the VIN in suzuki's dealer "network", the TSB doesn't come up for the B-King (they actually showed me, so I believe them). So, I gave them my printout that I took when I picked up the bike for the 600mi service. They called Suzuki the next day and were "told by Suzuki that it was only a TSB if the owner started getting the symptoms described in the TSB" (metallic clicking coming from the clutch cover, and/or difficulty shifting). ![]() So I said (in so many words). "So I'm supposed to wait until a screw backs out of the clutch and starts hitting the clutch cover of the motor, potentially damaging the clutch and engine housing, AND sending metal shavings into the motor - potentially damaging other more expensive parts - for the TSB to be honored??? That's kinda crappy don't ya think?" ![]() To which they basically replied "yeah, we agree with you... but that's what Suzuki says." They said they'd look into it more... I have my doubts. I have some parts on order (rain covers for saddle-bags) that should be in in a week or so. I'll talk to them again then I guess. So... I'm a little disappointed thus far with the dealer. The sale went great, no issues there, but the service dept... little different story. I know there is a possibility of them having their hands tied by Suzuki a bit, because if Zuk doesn't honor the TSB, and the dealership performs it, they have to eat the cost, because you bet your ass I won't. BUT - we're talking about 45-60 min of shop time, a $20 gasket and some threadlock compound, when I just handed them about $10k for a new motorcycle. ![]() If all else fails, I'll get the gasket and just perform the TSB myself. It's not a horribly complicated thing, and I've been into MCY clutches before. It's not worth a whole lot of headache for a $20 gasket and an hour of my time. In the end - Here's to the old saying... "if you want it done right..."

sorry to hear Timbo, but couldn't you have said you had trouble getting it into gear?
Anyways, I'm gonna do the TSB myself as well. Do you have a part # for the gasket? perhaps we can order two and save some $'s....
