Chicago Auto Show
hey Guys
FYI on a project we're working on.. The American Heart Association is working with the Chicago Automobile Trade Association to benefit Go Red for Women at the Chicago Auto Show. As a friend of the American Heart Association, you have the opportunity to buy a discounted $7 weekday ticket to the Chicago Auto Show while you help Go Red for Women. Regular admission to the show is $11, so using the link in this Email to buy your weekday ticket saves you $4 off the full price. We invite you to take advantage of this special offer and make a donation to Go Red for Women. Simply click on the link below to buy your weekday admission ticket. Then check the box for a donation to Go Red for Women. $1 will be added to your transaction price and will help fund research and educational programs in our community. Heart disease – the No. 1 killer of women – will impact one in three women. In fact, one woman dies every minute from heart disease. Your ticket is good any weekday of the show, February 12 or February 15-19. We encourage you to attend Chicago Auto Show’s Women’s Day on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Go Red for Women will have a special presence near the Grand Concourse Entrance where you can stop by to make the choice to Go Red. Sign up for the movement at the event and get a red dress pin and also discover “Your Perfect Shade of Red Car!” Order your discounted weekday tickets here and you’ll have to opportunity to donate $1 to the Go Red for Women campaign: GoRedforWomenTicketOrder - 2010 Chicago Auto Show. Choosing to ignore your heart health might not seem life changing today, but women are dying of heart disease at the rate of almost one per minute. Luckily, this No. 1 killer is largely preventable. We simply have to choose to act. Our Hearts, Our Choice. Beat Heart Disease at GoRedForWomen.org.

So...one of my buddies Marty (who was at TFT on the fireman honda) made a crack about "Did you know February is Heart month?" Now this is coming from a FF/Medic who's fiancee is also a Medic. Now Missy and I are the only two at this party who are not FF/Medics. So I start spouting off some of the stuff that I've learned from your postings up here and getting blank stares....Priceless that I've learned more about heart health from a Motorcycle message board than my friends have working in the medical field.
Phil, Keep up the good work. |
