That's good to know. Someday I might want to re-live my youth and pick up a BSA Hornet.

I think that's a great idea for a day ride! Something different from the usual runs we've made!

Agreed. Lake Geneva and Starved Rock are getting old. I've made the trip to J&P a couple times. Savanna (Poopies) is a nice stop along the way.

Speaking of day trips...I'd like to do the Holy Hill ride again, too.

When I was out there for the company Christmas party in December I took a ride to J&P and to the Hall of Fame. I believe you can look up Iowa scenic routes on their department of transportation...I think I took Rt 64 in to Clinton, IA then Rt 30 over the river.

Edit - it is partially Rt. 64....Iowa Grant Wood Scenic Byway

The 650 v star group greek and I belong to use to do an annual midwest get together in june.
Jp has their open house then and they get about 10,000 bikes there.
I'd be down for a ride....assuming I've got 2 wheels to ride along....or maybe I'd rent a harley davidson for a day...
