There is the h/d 883, manga (older models) but a bit heavy for u. But they are smaller and also have the power u r looking for. The intruder also would be a good fit or maybe a larger cc of the shadow still. I told u what to look for before. All good suggestions above too btw.
Call DGY and see what they have in the floor and look there. They have one if the larger selections in the area for most bikes.

I like sporties, but aren't they top heavy and tall?

883's can be very much adjusted height wise, and there are a lil top heavy, but its easier for shorter people to get them off the stands by using a trick. Also once you do get rolling on it, the weight simply disappears away from it.
Looking at a larger cc shadow would be the best bet in this case. plus, its a honda still, and virtually bulletproof

The 883 and even the 1200's tend to be relatively skinnier than most and thus more manageable heightwise. The weight is apparent though...
Another idea may be to look into the "moddability" of the particular bike as many custom setups reduce the ride height significantly...You'd be amazed at what a custom seat would do....not just in bringing you lower/higher, but also closer or further away from the foot/hand controls....

Very true which is why i agree with the person who suggested it in the 1st place. To me, the seem like a freakin bicycle when on it, and my buddy had the 1200 model. its all in the design. Everything can be adjusted on that bike because of the options available for it. But it is a harley, and will be prone to its issues. So its a give and take scenario

The M50 is a bit different. The S isn't fuel injected and I believe the rear cylinder is bit different because of the exhaust placement. The suspension parts on the S haven't been updated in awhile, but it's still supposed to be a pretty nice bike. I rode an Intruder years ago and liked it.

Nothing says motivate like watching your first bike roll out to another owner... yep Rebel was sold tonight
![]() So on that note... I've been on craigslist surfing around and have a few questions that I know you guys can help me with: What does it mean when they call it a "Hugger"? Also, I was told the Suzuki S50 is not so hot Has anyone ridden one? And last but not least, in the shadow 600 series, is there a difference between a vlx and non vlx? Thanks in advance guys! |

![]() The term "Hugger" in bikes usually refers to the style of rear fender which sits very close to the rear tire and thus "hugs" it. These fenders usually move with the suspension as it travels. Here is a sample of a "Hugger" with air-ride suspension: ![]()
